Chairman Mo in power again — TSN
I finally manage to have some time (new job has been exciting so far, but it takes all my time)…and the Hurricanes decide to bring a huge step BACKWARD and bring back Paul bloody Maurice.
And I’ve started smoking again. Don’t tell my doctor.

Keep the faith, sweetie! I struggle with wanting to smoke again every day. The ‘Canes are pretty much screwed, though….but everything in sports is cyclical…once the ‘Canes follow the same old pattern…win…go cheap to save money….LOSE money at the gate…sell/rethink money strategy…spend…win, ad nauseum. Hang in there, doll. As long as they don’t move back to Hartford, all will be well. If you quit once, you can always quit again. Chantix is the shite!
As soon as I heard the news, I thought immediately of you. Wow. This must be your nightmare brought to life. Are you still going to be allowed to the games now?
I think bringing back Chairman Mo is enough to make non-smokers want a cigarette. It just made me want to vomit.
Charlie: I need to stay quit, but right now I just don’t want to be quit–and it keeps my mind off wanting to go choke a bitch down at 1400 Edwards Mill Road, so there y’go. Blegh.
Michael: I’ll get to go to whatever games I can get to, since I can afford it now. But I’m back in a second shift job, so I’ll be going on days off…if for no other reason than to join the folks in Section 328 in MO MUST GO chants.
janeybell: As soon as I saw that blurb on TSN about Chairman Mo coming back, I shrieked and scared my husband (who was asleep after a long night on the graveyard shift). I mean, this isn’t Billy damn Martin we’re talking about here–at least in the 12 times he was hired and fired as Yanquis mangler, he managed to actually win a World Series or two. I am just ILL about this, really.
Is it really that bad?

Last time, but if it makes anyone feel any better, the poll on this subject at The Hockey News has 64% to 36% saying it was a bad move by the Canes

Rumours seem to suggest that Mo is tight with ownership, even after he was canned.
It WAS a bad move for the Canes. Mo has been one of the worst coaches in the game for the past decade. (Just look at how the Laffs are doing with a coach that doesn’t suck!). Sometimes, it’s not worth being that loyal. WTG, Rutherford…dummy
To stave off any suicide attempts, I’m hearing that Mo is only back long enough to get Ronnie Franchise time to get his sea legs then it’s his team. Good times. Go Pens!!
