I've still got connections in NC State's Continuing Ed. Office. Lemme know if you want to go that route.

AQ, I know it sux to be on the hunt for a new job, but I'm glad to hear that you're finally getting out of there. It's just not safe, gal.

You'll be great at whatever you do, so go for it!

Don't get me wrong--I love the people I work with and I care about the store and the longtime regulars and all...but it's getting hairier and hairier to go to work. My husband's got it relatively easy--he works out by all the nouveau riche people in Cary. But me? I work in the West Raleigh DMZ with the gangsters.

I'm not afraid, but I'm not stupid either.

Wow...and I thought my mom's job at the Bay sucked. I definitely encourage the going-back-to-school, because I get the distinct impression that you're already well-overqualified for a Stop 'n' Rob job, and having a piece of paper that says as much would probably make your life (and your husband's) a lot easier.
