I am sick and tired of fighting with the hubby over hockey on teh DVR, and I don’t want to have to wait 2 weeks for a ‘Canes game to get posted to Google Video–so I turn to all four of you, my adoring public:
Help me pick out a TV card, peeps. Preferably one that won’t go tits-up on me and show nothing but a blue screen and/or totally distorted video (followed three days later by a blue screen) after two weeks.

Sorry I can’t help AQ, but I’m interested in this as well. Also, I have googled “free TV” to find out more about the TV stations available online, and it seems that for a price you can download software to watch hundreds of channels online.
Does anyone know if this is legit?

Oh nono, I’m not wondering about stuff like TVUplayer and whatever. I want to get a TV tuner card for my computer–I’ve had 2 ATI TVWonders, and they’ve both died horrible ugly deaths on me for reasons that I cannot divine.
I’m trying to find a better (and, hopefully, sturdier) replacement.
Radeon’s X1600 (PCI-e) has been running wonderfully for my PC. I had always used Nvidia AGP cards previously but the difference was noticable after I switched. Its got the S-video and mutli-monitor hookups on it. http://www.pricewatch.com is a good place to start for computer goodies.
As someone whos gone thru my fair share of vid cards Id say give up on the all in wonder and shell out some money for the serious hardware. and dont forget to use a big enough hard drive so you can store and post games on ur page.
