		<description>Interestingly, a Sports Illustrated players poll earlier this year indicated that NHL players would be most accepting of an openly gay teammate. Some theorize it's the Canadian effect, as so many players are from Canada, which is apparently more gay-friendly than the US, where the majority of NBA, NFL and MLB players are from.
