She wouldn't be so bad if she just had some coaching. But as ever, constructive criticism continues to be rebuffed by the organization. /rolleyes

Yeah, she doesn't sing well, but isn't too far off from having a good voice with a a good vibrato.
However, she IS pretty cute, and looks like she's having fun. I liked her charm.
Speaking of charm, how much of a good luck charm is she? You don't have to believe in 'luck' per say, but you guys won the Cup and she was singing . Wouldn't it be like a nostalgic thing now that she sings? Bad or not?
I sure don't care if someone sounds half assed. The fat guy in Vancouver LOOKS half assed doesn't he? He's a slob!
I say keep her around , and I agree on the voice lessons idea.

[...] The Acid Queen takes some shots at the Carolina Hurricanes anthem singer today, and suggests Canadians shouldn’t be optimistic about her performances next year. But she has an interesting suggestion involving another singer: I still think it’d be a fun kick in the ass to have him sing the anthem(s) Barry White style instead of Holly “What’s a meter and why should I have to stay on it?” Wilver.
She could be much worse, trust me. I just think she needs a few classes and she'd be fine. With any luck, if she's as smart as the rest of the SS (heh) make her out to be, she'll do that on her own.

Don't get me wrong, Holly's singing *does* suck. But, whose singing would you rather hear? Hers or Clay Aiken's?

Though the latter *would* help fill up the RBC Center if it/the Canes ever needed such help again, American Idol *must* die.

Good, Lord! We're to be subjected to another season of awfulness (is that a word?)!

Not to mention my acute embarrassment when I actually saw her on my recording of game 7 of the finals. Now, I knew she was bad, but I had only heard her in the arena, where the crowd does a pretty good job of over-singing her. With the crowd filtered out and it all pure Wilver, I wanted to crawl under a rock when I thought about a wide audience seeing (and hearing) that!
