Macabre figure depicts Clint Malarchuk’s brush with death, Film at 11
OK, so perhaps I am being a little bit….oh, what’s the word…tight-assed about this–but to me there is just something fundamentally WRONG with commemorating something as horrifying as damn near dying from an accidental throat-cutting through a custom kitbash of what looks like a Patrick Roy McFarlane figure. I mean, seriously.

And speaking of “Dude, the hell?”, El Presidente de los Jugadores Unidos stepped down from his post today. The more I think about it, the more I think that it had to happen one way or the other. Linden tried to ride the line between both sides during Ragnarok with some degree of success, but in the end his support of Ted Saskin’s Executive Directorship got him doused with the same big bucketful of overripe durian flesh by union members who were upset with the manner in which Saskin was given his job (and really, can you blame them?)
Stay tuned for more drama on “As The Union Turns”. La Lucha Continua.

May I just say that it’s so nice to NOT have to see all the Southeast Division teams 10x/season? Seriously, I’m rejoicing here–though I await the rest of the schedule with bated breath, because I really don’t want to see the Washington Capitals (or any of our other Division rivals) five times in the month of March.
Well that, and I want to be able to give my boss enough notice to get time off for a few roadies (as if that’ll ever happen).
