Yes folks, there are still people in the Caniac Nation who aren’t satisfied with a Cup–they want to have Jesse Boulerice back, too!

Oh yeah, and the idiot that started the thread just had to bash Dougie Weight, too–nevermind that he helped us win a Cup (and nevermind that JimR decided to let him walk so that he could free up the dosh to re-sign Espresso). No, some people just aren’t satisfied, and they want to see the return of a guy who was starting to let his temper get the better of him again and who made the serious mistake of not working on his game during Ragnarok.

Make no mistake, kids. I like Jesse…off the ice. But honestly? It hurt to watch him play last season, because it was clear that all the progress that he’d made on his game pre-Ragnarok had gone pfft because he stayed home on the dole rather than signing some sort of contract somewhere (even playing with the Fayetteville Fire Antz of the SPHL would have been good for him). But I guess if he can chuck knuckles and nothing else, the mouthbreathers (like the fuckhead I had to sit next to in 332 during Doug Weight’s first home game in the Sightless Eye) will be happy.

Whatever.

In other news, JimR signed The Big Letowski away from the Columbus Smoking Jackets today–nice grinding kind of guy, a Craig Adams clone with a little more offense in him. I watched him play with Vancouver during the Season From Hell, and liked what I saw. This signing means that Rex will more than likely walk, but I can live with that. The talk on the boards is about signing or trading for another right wing and possibly a left wing as well–I think we can part with goalie prospect Kevin Nastiuk and a pick or maybe Oleg Tverdovsky, depending on what the trading partner is looking for.
